CASTER TYPE H
Caster with rigid wheels featuring one-color hard tread on all its surface and is recommended for use on carpeted or carpeted floors.
CASTER TYPE W
Caster with wheels resilient coated, with soft treads and different colors in the center and tread, and is recommended for use on floors covered with stone, wood, ceramic and any others not covered.
OBSTACLES TO ROLLOVER DISPLACEMENT
Metal strip with length as indicated in the test for rolling displacement durability, width 51mm and thickness of 3.2mm where the longitudinal edges of these strips should have a radius of 3.2mm + or – 0.4mm
Floor surface perfectly horizontal and flat where base and castors must be free to rotate and rotate.
DURABILITY TEST FOR ROLLOVER DISPLACEMENT
The test shall be performed directly on the bearing surface. For the test, three obstacles are fixed to this surface. If a full seat is tested, place a M¹ load on the seat of the chair. If an accessory is used the weight of the test set (base assembly, accessories and weights) shall be equivalent to M¹ plus the weight of the chair in its fully assembled configuration. The travel of the cyclic device must be adjusted to ensure at least (762mm + 20mm) of travel. The course should be directed to the casters rolling through the test and obstacle platform.
The cycle (displacement in one direction and then in the opposite direction) must be repeated 2000 times over obstacles and 98000 cycles on smooth and rigid surfaces without obstacles, at a frequency of 10 + or – 2 cycles per minute. Upon completion of the cycles, a force of 22N should be applied to each caster on the center line of the caster rod.
